The Flight of Gemma Hardy (Margot Livesey)

I loved this saga of a book. I haven't read Jane Eyre and I don't think it would have changed my opinion if I had because the writing was exquisite. I just fell right into Livesey's characters and didn't feel that Gemma was whiney or feeling sorry for herself even thought she was dealt a pretty shitty hand. She was strong and smart and funny and I can't wait to read more from Margot Livesey!
